At Dermatology Institute of Detroit (DID), we have a unique expertise and passion for treating surgical dermatology problems. Dr. Abdulhak brings extensive training and a deep commitment to advancing the field of surgical dermatology.

Dr. Abdulhak completed a three-year dermatology residency with a focus on dermatologic surgery, followed by an additional rigorous one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery. During his fellowship, he performed over 1,000 Mohs surgical cases and reconstructions, while also learning advanced techniques from specialists in facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and surgical oncology.

After his training, Dr. Abdulhak served as attending faculty at Wayne State University, where he taught Mohs surgery and reconstructive techniques to dermatology residents and medical students. He has published numerous scientific articles that have significantly advanced the field of Mohs surgery and surgical dermatology. Dr. Abdulhak remains actively involved in research, continuing to contribute to the evolution of dermatologic surgical practices.
