DR. ABRAHAM ABDULHAK MD
DermatologistMeet Dr. Abraham Abdulhak MD, a board-certified , fellowship trained dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, from Dearborn, Michigan. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Wayne State University, a nationally recognized urban research institution in Detroit. Graduating with prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honors in undergrad and Alpha Omega Alpha honors in medical school, he ranked among the top 10% of his graduating classes.
Following medical school, Dr. Abdulhak completed a comprehensive internship at Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn where he served as chief resident. He then pursued a three-year dermatology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, a nationally-ranked, advanced tertiary care hospital in Richmond, Virginia. During his training, he published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed academic journals and scored among the top 3% on the national dermatology residency examinations, establishing himself as one of the most prolific residents in the program's history.
Driven by his passion for dermatologic surgery, Dr. Abdulhak sought further expertise through a rigorous one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery at Indiana University under the guidance of the internationally renowned Dr. Ally-Khan Somani MD PhD. He continued his scholarly pursuits there, contributing significantly to the field through multiple article publications and presentations at national conferences.
Dr. Abdulhak's clinical interests span a diverse array, including skin cancer, reconstructive surgery, preventative cutaneous oncology, neurotoxins, and scar revision.
Beyond his dedication to medicine, Dr. Abdulhak enjoys playing the guitar, savoring new cuisines, world travel, immersing himself in audiobooks, playing soccer, being bad at golf, and sharing cherished moments with his family and friends.
